Belated birthday greetings for yesterday, Willie, from another who has reached 69 (in October).  Now you have Stuart Reid's excellent book "Like Hungary Wolves", you might be considering painting some figures from that era.  I can certainly recommend the Highlanders produced by the Austrian Editor, Scheibert.  These figures are available from http://www.zinnfigurenwelt-katzelsdorf.at
Marko and Gerhard kindly recommended the site to me when I was looking for information about Scheibert in September.  Peter oo~

Funny thing, in the last year I have hunted them all down with the exception of the Somme which I have little interest in.

My favorite was the Zulu Wars though all of them have been exceptionally well written.  This one manages to tell the entire story of the campaign in this one volume with the major focus centered around Rorke's Drift.

I saw and ignored these for years until the Crimea Lancers cousin Charles put out sparked my interest.  Thoroughly impressed on the quality I hunted them down one by one paying far more than if I purchased over time as they were discovered.

Any way one of many guilty pleasures and another wound to my wallet cousin Charles has to answer for...

It has been some time since I wrote about a book but I just got this today it had been on order for ever. .  Like Hungry Wolves Culloden Moor April 16 1746, by Stuart Reid. It explains the battle and the color plates are outstanding . Published by Windrow & Green . These series of books are out standing and well worth the price. The next one will be either Into the Valley of Death The British Cavalry Division at Balaclava 1854 or Zulu Isandlwana & Rorke's Drift. Willie
