Dick Jenkins
will be sadly missed - he was a lovely person and a gentleman. It was always a pleasure to talk with him whenever I met him at shows and at the BFFS's Annual General meetings in April.
In the early 1980s Dick
Jenkins was one of a very few people in the UK from whom we could obtain flats. The first flats I bought from him were the Golberg 'Marlburians' c.1700-20 - and some of them
still
need painting!

purchase figures for me if he was going to Kulmbach. Occasionally, Dick would send me some flats but said I could return them if

I wasn't satisfied - obviously, he didn't want to take all

my 'pocket' money.
