A number of years ago, I ran across an article by Greg DiFranco titled, Painting Flats: The Effective Use of Light and Shadow in Color Value. I think I have read it at least half a dozen times. At Kulmbach 2015, Greg and I talked about the article being buried in a magazine no longer in print. The article is now 13 years old. Greg agreed to look the article over again and to provide fresh photos.
The article is finally finished and preserved at
http://www.flattinfigures.com/painting-flats-by-greg-difranco
. The beauty of preserving it on the site is that we can all visit it as often as we like. Enjoy
Thanks, Greg!
