same as Nick,  but also use a product  I can get from my work place  that removes just about any thing!
on Resin its Mr muscle spray,  don't know its availability outside the U.K, but great product.

I use Easy Off oven cleaner followed by a scrub with a toothbrush.  Works wonders on acrylics and oils, may need a repeat for enamels.


Also works wonders on Plastic models as well.

Hi, you can give them a long bath into the tabs of a dishcleanmashine. And afterwords you clean them with a toothbrush. Greetings Julia

I dip them in acetone for two hours, then use toothbrush ... Repeat to go to all détails.  When old paint is softened, I get the tick out using a wooden  toothpick sharpened with a cutter, then repeat.

Hi Harry,

I have used Nitromors, which is a liquid paint stripper, you need a small tray to let the figure sit in  till the paint softens, then use a toothbrush to clean it off. pretty messy but very effective though.

I have a few to do myself, and I have been told that a liquid spray oven cleaner is very effective.
here it's called Mr Muscle. I have the product, just haven't tried it yet!!

whatever you use, make sure you wear rubber/ surgical gloves

I've been given two tin figures. They have blotches of old hard paint in several areas. Whats the best way to remove this rather thick old paint? Thanks for any advice in advance...
