Hallo friends of flats,

I think there a a lot of good exhibitions of flats without any competition in Germany.
too
But it´s every time a pleasure to see the figures of the best painters in the competition of Kulmbach.
In the years bevore the competition you couldn´t see so much well painted figures there.
It´s a motivation to show your gems.

In the former "Kulturbund der DDR" was a competition with the "Zinnmeister", too.

To reach a lot of people good exhibitions are more important. For example 50.000 People visited the
exhibition of Leipzig 1930...
How many People comes to a competition ???

Best regard

Michael

Well I suppose it depends on the Judges ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Personnally, I think  if you want to improve the way you paint, then it is certainly the quickest and easiest way.

Kulmbach is obviously the main one, as the Judges are probably the best and you can compare your work on the same table as the best  international painter's.  I'm not particularly interested in the 'Gong' but sometimes we all need a little bit of inspiration to help us improve.

Had a bit off a chinwag with Dave Salter about competition and the flat figure,  is competition important to the future of the flat figure?
The BFFS have not in the passed favoured competition but is it time to change, I for one have no interest in getting the pat on the back or another gong for the cabinet but what do you think, is competitions important? ;)
