Prince Louis-Ferdinand was Chef of an infantry regiment, garrisoned in my home town (not it's superior cook, but the guy, who it was named after).
In this function he repeatedly lived in Magdeburg in the neibourhood of the Royal palace.
There are reports, that he every now and then in the morning hours he played piano, only dressed in underpants.
During that time the staff officers of the garrison, that were obliged to report him, were standing waiting, till he ended his playing.
And, as we can see in the Funcken plate, he was quite fond of his hat - in the midst of a fierce hand to hand combat he has barely another thing in mind, as to keep his headgaer
