Thank you Nick I will keep that in mind.  Very happy with these though I never use anything below 3 x 0.  10 x 0 is interesting to visualize.  Mark  8)

yes,  the quality of Series 7 have slipped.

I have tried all sorts and the ones I use now are D'vinci Meastro.

They hold their point, and the set I am on now have just lasted a full year!!! I am quite heavy on them, as I do scrub and dab :o with them.  They are however about to be replaced :'(

No.1 and No.0 are the ones I use most, with a 10/0 for the finest of fine detail. They are slightly more expensive than Rosemary, but a lot cheaper than Series 7.

If you do have trouble getting brushes Mark,  just let me know, I can send you some as ' pressies ' so it may get round the issue. ;)

Hello Mark,

Thanks for this information,  ;) I'll go to see on internet these brushes. Yes series 7 is very  expensive but until now I'd no found something else.

Like many of us here I have used Winsor & Newton Series 7 brushes for years.  The last several years the quality seems to have slipped and they are expensive and hard to find in the US.  (I read one post elsewhere indicating they could no longer be imported as they were made from sable.  Not sure of the accuracy but it has been a challenge.)

Anyway from some posts on PlanetFigure I tried brushes from Rosemary & Co in the UK and am quite pleased.  Half the price, 4 day service from the UK and a much larger ferrule to the brush.

Tried them yesterday and I am very happy with their quality.  I am all set up for the day now!
