Currently painting the H.S.Brumm set of prehistoric life. Most of the figures are engraved by Peter Sturm, however one figure is different. It looks odd from a style point of view. It is very flat with radius edges and detail added by grooves. Only clue to the engraver is a sigil on the stand that looks like rF joined together. On the right it is rf and on the left /rf.
I think this must be the last figure created as it is the only one that does not appear on an illustrated Brumm catalogue sheet.
The figure reminds me of some 90mm samurai that were edited by Henry Irving Reisch that appeared in the very first BFFS Journal in 1986. They were produced by a photo etch process rather than engraving.
Anyone able to help with identifying the engraver/designer?
