As has been made clear to me again the options for posting images to the site is a little unclear and not as easy as it could be ideally. (Free software does have its down side.)
There are a number of options available to everyone - really a matter of personal taste:
1.) You can upload files from your computer to the site.
This is the recommended method as the images will remain with your posts as accounts change etc. There is a new FAQ explaining this easy process
http://www.intflatfigures.org/index.php?action=faq titled 'Posting Photos from your Computer."
2.) You can also link to images from Photo Bucket if you have an account with that service.
Again in the FAQ section
http://www.intflatfigures.org/index.php?action=faq there is a guide called "Posting photos from another site like PhotoBucket".
3.) You can link to images or galleries from sites such as Google/Picasa.
Just enter in the url to the image directly in your message. (The insert image icon above has the format for you.) The system will find the image from the url and display the image in your post automatically.
Which form you use is a matter of personal taste and comfort level.
Uploading images directly means that the images will always be part of the post but, again it is a matter of personal preference.
If you need assistance - it is not as straight forward as it should be - reach out to one of the moderators or myself and we will happily assist.
We all enjoy seeing others work of all levels and are grateful with anyone willing to share their efforts.
