But I agree also with John, your metal i probably more realistic than the rusty metal that most painters are expressing, influenced by the armours seen in the musea (or museums) 3 to 800 years later !!
These equipment at the time of use were freshly made, maintained and cleaned by each soldier and warrior as done by our own armies ....
