Inherited a HUGE collection of flat figures...

Unfortunately having taken weeks to sort the figures I received ( and having sold a few sets  on the Auction)  I tried on numerous occasions get details of the pay pal account from the family. After 2 months of no joy, I decided to call a halt.

Also, Unfortunately the figures I was given were odd 30mm and apart from a few sets, they appear not to be of interest, so not much actually sold

The figures sound wonderful and might have some advantages over modern figures, they may be a better quality of casting for example, as the slate moulds they are made from tend to deteriorate over the years.
Monetary value is hard to state without knowing what they are.
So I imagine the first thing to do is to try and identify them, which is not that difficult. Most will be recognisable from photos as we have a broad knowledge from members here from all around the world.
There are other ways to identify them, such as the small markings, usually letters and numbers, on the bases of the figures.
I think thats the first step, and I'm sure we would enjoy seeing them. After that we could suggest some options for you if you really want to part with them.

Are the figures painted ?
I also suggest that you look at the different galleries so that you can see if your figures are of the same kind

Hello.

I have just inherited a huge collection of flat figures from my grandparents.
They travelled to Kulmbach a lot in the 1960-1970... They have amassed a huge collection (probably 2,000+ figures) in sets.
These beautiful figures are now sitting in a massive cabinet, un-touched.

Would these be of any interest to anyone?
Not for any particular money value, but mainly for the beauty...
This collection is extroridinary and needs to be appreciated.

Can anyone offer any help on this?... We don't have the appreciation for these items as I am sure many do... They are beautiful, but we don't have the space for what was once, my grandparents passion.
