Someone spent 20 minutes knocking those up Brian, they are their pride and joy!!!

( probably sell for thousands too!! )

Can't really compare them to Zinnfiguren, and I don't think they are painted with glazes either!

Definitely not my cup of tea, but you got to admit, at that sort of money they would be fools not to do it!!

PS  where can I get canvases from??       I'm going to make a fortune!

The Great Masters used Glazes and shock  Horror under painting and they could paint!!
techniques  are just that, what ever suits the painter  and what results he or she gets

I glaze the oil colour on ....seems to work .....and as it was said to me over the
Euro weekend ......Glazes and stains of colour

Very good explanation Michel. Nick there is lots of info on the net. It is mainly aimed at oil on canvas painting but the same technique applies to us too.

for example glazes of violet or green on métal, on a face in the shadows, in the shadows of clothes; I dilute with W Spirit, ad when the flat is dry, give a rapid glaze in the shadow with highly diluted colour, wait one day and repeat until subtle tone appear, ....
I did for Elerinaa Elven bust with the skin, against the Mars black of the bust clothing to give a litte bit of warm; you can give a glaze green or blue to the second to cool the color slightly and enforce the contrast betwwen warm and cool....
