Excellent painting and the light is excellent. The face is very good painted too. I'm very impressive. :)

I imagine back in the 1760's there would have been a huge variety in the white uniforms.

Ditto! I should really take a crack at one of these. Is it okay to slightly vary the tone of the whites - coat, vest, pants - or were they so closely matched you couldn't tell them apart?
