I did not hear about this Waterloo display
But anyway these figures will probably be sold as most of my Napoleonics so that I can continue my oldies collection !

Indeed the imperial blue is so dark, that it cannot accept a lot of highlight. 
We have to create highlights to give 3D effect to these sizes artificially.

Painted with oil
Very agreable to paint even if imperial blue is not an easy color
