what size's grass etc for a 30mm diorama ?

So it's pretty simple, Isabelle.
Nature knows no standards, as they have with all freedoms.
- Standart grass mats have a fiber length of 3 to 4 mm.
Application for normal grass surfaces, regardless of the season and dyeing the mat.
- Long grass mats have about 6-10 mm fiber length.
Application for wild meadows with high ground cover
- Ground cover from fabric mats (Rakelpflanten, flowers)
- Tufts of grass in different sizes and colors
application; for alone standing plants (steppe, deserted settlement)

Importantly, as Jörg already wrote;
Matt surfaces Comminute (do not tear cut), parts with paper side in water to soak (paper or cardboard is soft) and can be connected better anmodelieren with glue on surface and figures.
After all is well glued and dried well, I empfäle to rework the surface of the lawn with water color.

in fact there is actually a fast growing number of terrain and scenic products which are perfectly matching the 30 mm flats : The 28 mm "war-game" figures accessories

All this stuff including even buildings fences trees etc. is completely in scale as the 28mm are 1:56 and 30 mm flats are 1:55 so the different is very small. So for example all the 28 mm Perry carts and guns etc can be used by flats collectors as well.

Wolfgang have you goods adress with lot of choice to buy material from scale HO, S or O. But how to choise scale ; you have said "depending on the application  areas" Could you give me examples please ?

 basically they can use such products!
 You should be what they want to represent only the use of these substances in the clear.
 Allso English lawns (golf course) with kang grass is probably not suitable.
 The color scheme plays a large role.
 Here are a few variables Scale.

 Figures Size 40 - you can find 45 mm below Modelbau (model railways) Scale = 0 (zero); 1/45; 1:43; 1/48

 You can find figures size about 28 mm below Modeldau (model railways) Scale = S; 1:64 (28mm)

 Figures, size 20 mm you finen under Modelbau (model railways) Scale = H0; 1:87

 Figures size 30-32 mm = 1:55 I use the materials from Scale H0; S; 0 depending on the application areas

 Ok  Isabelle the Model Railroad books are printed by Kalmbach. Also remember this keep it simple, there are a lot of products out there. Craft stores offer a lot. Isabelle. First of all get the model Railroad books. Second go the Hard wear store and get some jute and hemp rope and carpet squares a lot of war gamers use this. The best bet is the Model Rarilroad  Books Willie

when I use grass in a diorama I take small pieces of grass matte for modeltrains.
There is also grass from Spray cans from model train shops ( I never tried this).

BTW - I have no prooblem in sending you an example per lettre.

Hello at all 

I had bought grass  1/45 for 30 mm diorama but I think the grass is to tall    but all the vegetation have the same size 1/45. Could you say me advices I'm beginer in this domain.
