Yes, it's true oïl is the best flat's friend  :D ....... and painters too  :D
You have an important production ! I'd like to paint as many sets as you  ;).
I think in a little time you can paint as many sets as our Eric's friend  which I admire his work, and as well as Eric  :)

Well Roger, it's worked and take on board what Eric said, the impression of detail can be as good as detail itself ;) everyone take note ;D

Well done old man!

Thank you very much Isabelle. Practice, practice, practice.  ;D and I think changing from acrylics to oils have helped me greatly.

Thanks very much. I was all keyed up for a foray into the Middle Ages myself until I discovered these and now I'm hooked.... for the time being anyway.  ;D

Really nice work .I am painting some 30's at present and still find fancy uniforms like Napoleonics  tricky  ..i am far more comfortable with medievals and more gritty stuff .

Thanks very much Eric, yes you're right. It is easy to get bogged down with the detail at this size and become very frustrated.
Here it is with the others I have completed.

Well done Roger
Don'worry about details
Volume and general impression are much more important

A 30mm figure from Hans-Dieter Oldhafer. I'm not so sure attempting freehand on a 30mm flat is a good idea. I tried not to work too much on the detail but give the impression of the embroidered design by using light and shade.
