Hi all,
Sorry I've been inactive recently! I'm looking to get flat trees and explosions/smoke for a small vignette base quite quickly- in time for a painting contest in early October. Problem is, the minimum orders of most editors are out of my reach at the moment.. does anyone know where I can buy such accessories in small quantities? So far I know Muxfeldt has a nice poplar tree with a broken trunk, so anything in the way of explosions or smoke is next on the list to "animate" the base and background.

Hey, it's only September. You have plenty of time... ;D
You have few options, it seems.
1. Bite the bullet and pay retail for whatever you can find.
2. Find already produced pieces and try to get a discount on a bulk buy at either the retail or wholesale level. Businesses like getting rid of existing inventory - especially if they're overstocked and it's not moving.
3. Make your own using sheet plastic/putty, then casting them yourself.
