Title: Two Richard Lionheart
Post by: errant49 on July 02, 2013, 12:11:24 PM
The first figure shows Richard during the third crusade, around 1192
The second one shows him around 1198 when english armories had changes from to face to face lions to three passing (is the word right ?) lions
I think the first figure is Henninge and Lecke; the second is Menz and Franck again

Beautiful figures both - full of character and marvelously painted.  I always seem to enjoy painting well engraved figures somewhat more.

I also enjoyed your piece with Steve Lloyd at FlatTinFigures.com.  I envy your collection and output level though I am working on the latter.

Well done, Eric.  Both painted to the same standard but I like the first better, more dynamic.
