Title: Leuthen 1757
Post by: Roger on April 10, 2013, 07:50:40 AM
At last I've finished this 30mm Scholtz set of Frederick the Great addressing his Generals and staff prior to the battle of Leuthen.

Thank you very much Ray. At one point (actually more than that  ;D) I thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew but I got there in the end.

Roger very nicely done and looks very impressive as a full set. Excuse my ignorance but I can see the setup for the camera but how will you actually display these figures, in a frame or box perhaps.
Cheers Ken

Thank you Ken. They are mounted on a wooden base, 15"x 1" designed for displaying model trains. You'll see it on Saturday.  ;)

Very very impressive Roger
I do admire the way you improved your painting these last months
I feel that a very simple long box with a light winter background would give a fantastic result

Thank you very much Eric. I'm glad you think my painting has improved and I agree a long box would be nice, my problem is where to keep it. I'll be okay when some kids move out.  ;D

This gives a better idea how they are displayed.

That's a lot of work, Roger. I would have died halfway through and started painting something else.

Well done.

Thank you Steve, there was a lot of other stuff painted while this was going on to stop myself getting bored with it and I've only painted it to a standard where I knew it would get finished. It's good from a distance but don't look too close.  ;D
