Title: Herakles, Nessus and Deianira, a love story !
Post by: errant49 on March 08, 2013, 10:56:54 AM
Figures from Wolfgand Hafer, drawing Madlener, engraving Lecke, 30mm, oil
A true mythologic love story with the just needed quantity of fury and violence
Nice figures to paint
I tried to vary the flesh tones

I tried to vary the flesh tones!!!!!!!

   I think what you mean to say Eric, is, " I forgot what colour's I had mixed  the night before!!!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

These work very well, and I must say' it  makes them look more realistic, as skin tones are all different.
Nicely painted, well done.

You guess right Nick, but the truth is that the basic colors are the same for the three tones; only the quantity of each changes

Once again, really nice work, Eric.

It will serve as an inspiration for me, just got the old Heinrichsen game Homerisches Kampfspiel.  It's something like chess with the playing pieces being 40mm flats, gods and heroes of the Trojan war.

I do not have this set but I have the "Trojanische Krieg" also 40mm
I only paint Achille on his war chariot, pulling Hector's body; I started a few others but not finished
I also have avery old (around 1900) issue of the set, in factory paint and rather good condition; very charming
