I had the chance to get a very nice John II Sobieski to paint for the Mignot display project Michael suggested and organized
Thank to him again
I post a set of pictures as a step by step
Comments are inserted in each picture
You just have to know that I use oil paint (of any brand), linen oil + turpentine as a medium, and I alwways work in the wet, except at the end for some deep or cast shadows

I apologize for the pictures, rather bad; my camera battery felt down and I had to use my wife's camera
I am not a very good photographer with MY camera; I am quite bad with HER's
I now have to let the figure dry a little till tomorrow morning
Then I will add the metallic paint where needed and maybe add a few highlights or deepened shadows

Very impessive work, Eric. Your SBS makes it a little bit easier, because I have to paint the same figure for the project.

I add the mustach, metallic parts, a little white on the horse, light deepening under the collar and arm
