Hello everyone! I have recently obtained a set by Neckel representing Court of Borgia, beautifully engraved by Frank.
I have an impression that this set or probably drawing came from Gerard Oesterreicher's collection. Does anyone know anything about this? What is the background and whom the figures do represent, any historical faces or particular moment?

Hi Andrew,
I have found a picture of a group of flat figures on this link:
http://www.zinnfiguren-bistulfi.com/galleria/rinascimento.html (http://www.zinnfiguren-bistulfi.com/galleria/rinascimento.html)
The relevant picture is in the fifth row downwards "Corte dei Borgia"
Maybe this is the painted figures you are looking for - it is Neckel edition, made by L. Frank.
Friendly regards:
