Title: Battle of San Pablo del Monte

1863, may , 5th, mexican campaign, during the Puebla siege
Rider Bordes, from the 2nd regiment of Chasseurs d'Afrique, catches the Durango Lancers standard
A 45mm group, issued by french collector François Koestel in a limited edition
From a Benigni painting and a fabulous engraving of Daniel Lepeltier
François Koestel is now offering a range of 40-45 mm figures I warmly recommand

Now that I do like.
Not sure about the cast shadow of the lance over the leg. Maybe it's the colour of it. Love the horses though.

The shadow is probably correct ;) but it is too paynes grey blue. A much  darker shade of the saddle cloth and yes, blend out the edge's ;)

You must be very pleased with this one Eric. The colours are so vibrant.
I think its one of you best for a while.
On saying that I hope you don't move on to the larger scale!
